Our client is actively seeking an experienced Test Engineer (Junior) to support our DoD client.
Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain a successful T3 background investigation. This is a remote opportunity.
Our team is responsible for developing and testing the application and maintaining the system hardware to ensure that it functions per DoD requirements and specifications.

Our team is responsible for developing and testing the application and maintaining the system hardware to ensure that it functions per DoD requirements and specifications.
- Plan and execute test cases for the enterprise application with a significant number of external system interfaces
- Perform software and system verification and validation testing using manual test tools and test automation processes to include testing in the Cloud
- Develop software test plans, test cases, and test reports
- Execute test cases and document test execution artifacts in the program’s test case repository
- Document and track defects in the program’s issue management system
- Develop test cases based on user stories, mapping software requirements and acceptance criteria across the system functionality
- Develop and execute test cases to test for 508 compliance
- Perform analysis, research, and troubleshooting of software defects and other issues
- Participate in the elicitation and specification of program requirements
- Perform analysis and requirements/acceptance criteria decomposition for software enhancements
- Perform basic database queries to validate backend expected results
- Participate in meetings with developers, requirements analysts, and other team members to help identify defects, troubleshoot system/software issues, and provide needed inputs to these discussions
- Prepare presentations and participate in test planning and execution discussions with the direct customer and other stakeholders
- Provide test planning and execution estimates for new development activities
- Effectively communicate to other team members information regarding code defects, code releases, requirements, acceptance criteria and environments status and needs
- Update system documentation, test plans and standard operating procedure
- BS 0-2 Years or HS 4+
- Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain a successful T3 background investigation
- Software testing experience
- Experience analyzing data, troubleshooting, and solving technical issues
- Experience communicating across a large team with a variety of technical backgrounds
- Two (2) or more years' experience with software testing
- Two (2) or more years’ experience working with MicroFocus ALM/Quality Center to maintain test cases and test execution artifacts
- Two (2) or more years’ experience working with Sabre and Worldspan Global Distribution Systems (GDS)
- Two (2) or more years’ experience working with 508 Testing Tools including JAWS, ZoomText, or others.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience with Micro Focus UFT (Unified Functional Testing) for automated testing
- Two (2) or more years’ experience working with the Apollo and/or Galileo GDSs
- Experience with JIRA
