Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Corporate General Ledger Accountant. In this position you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general ledger process, performing complex reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper allocation and coding of expenses and revenues.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and company guidelines.
Lead and mentor junior members of the accounting team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or general ledger roles.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile complex accounts.
Demonstrated experience in leading month-end and year-end close processes.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
