Cordia Resources is seeking a Non-Profit Staff Accountant. In this position you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the organization's financial health. Responsibilities:
Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor and track grants, donations, and restricted funds, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
Work closely with program managers to track and report on project-specific expenses.
Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide support during audits.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and enhance internal controls.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding financial inquiries.
Support the Finance Manager and Controller with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Proficiency in using accounting software, with specific experience in Sage Intacct considered a strong asset.
Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles, fund accounting, and compliance requirements.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
