Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Arlington, VA

Compensation: $60,000-$80,000

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic day-to-day accounting and general ledger tasks
• Record financial transactions, adhering to the stringent standards of GAAP.
• Execute monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analyses, paving the way for periodic financial book closures.
• Craft routine and monthly journal entries as required, providing comprehensive documentation
• Facilitate annual audit activities by preparing schedules, furnishing necessary documents and diligently responding to auditor queries.
• Engage actively in refining accounting processes and bolstering internal controls.
• Assist in analytical tasks tied to budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement reviews.

 

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a CPA or CPA pathway is required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of corporate accounting or public accounting
