We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with expertise in PeopleSoft to oversee our payroll department. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing leadership to a team of payroll professionals.
Responsibilities:
Manage the payroll process from start to finish, including data entry, processing, and distribution of payroll checks and direct deposits.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, including hourly and salaried workers.
Review and verify payroll reports, tax filings, and other payroll-related documents for accuracy.
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and tax laws, and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.
Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
Supervise a team of payroll specialists and provide training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the finance and HR departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processes.
Prepare payroll-related reports for management as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field a plus
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management.
Strong proficiency in PeopleSoft payroll software is required.
Thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax codes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
