Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant for our non-profit client that is a mission-driven organization dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing and overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Assist in budget preparation and monitor budget variances.
Prepare and submit grant financial reports to funders and assist in grant compliance.
Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process.
Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Work closely with program managers and other staff to provide financial information and support.
Maintain a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online and provide training to staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a non-profit organization.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
