Cordia Resources is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a leading government contractor. As a Procurement Specialist you will play a critical role in our procurement process, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services to support our government contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience using Costpoint, a deep understanding of government procurement regulations, and a proven track record of successful procurement management.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop procurement strategies.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to solicit bids from vendors.
Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with government regulations.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in accordance with government requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Assist with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with changes in government procurement regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on government contracts.
Proficiency in Costpoint software.
Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
