Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Perform thorough financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tracking of program expenses and grants management.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with auditors to ensure successful completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a strong asset.
- Progressive accounting experience, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with [specific accounting software] is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, coupled with effective problem-solving abilities.
