Cordia Resources is in search of a dedicated Senior Accountant. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, oversee journal entries, and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Property Accounting: Utilize knowledge of property accounting principles to manage accounts receivable/payable, CAM reconciliations, and lease administration.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
Tax and Compliance: Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Work closely with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, implement best practices, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide accounting expertise to support various business initiatives.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional growth within the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 7 of experience in accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
