Position Overview: As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health and integrity of our client's organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint, and a proven track record of successfully managing accounting functions.
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the accounting team.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Deltek Costpoint software.
- Utilize Costpoint to manage and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to establish accurate financial projections.
- Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Costpoint software is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
