ServiceNow Consulting Architect

Our client is looking for smart, creative individuals interested in helping grow something truly unique in our markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive ServiceNow technical architecture experience leading large-scale implementations and in creating a ServiceNow consulting practice.  The ServiceNow Consulting Architect is a pivotal role responsible for leading the design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions tailored to meet client-specific requirements.

This individual will serve as the primary technical point of contact for all ServiceNow engagements, offering expert guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include developing strategic plans to align ServiceNow capabilities with client goals, architecting robust and scalable solutions, and ensuring the technical viability of new deployments.

  • Strategic Planning: Understand the federal government market and the needs of potential clients to help develop a strategic plan for the consulting practice, which involves identification of business opportunities, determination of the scope of services, and alignment of offerings with market demands
  • Service Development: Develop the consulting services portfolio, including defining the scope of ServiceNow implementations, integrations, and custom development projects as well as ensure these services are aligned with best practices and add tangible value to clients
  • Technical Leadership and Expertise:
    • Platform Mastery: Being an expert on the ServiceNow platform, understanding its capabilities, limitations, and best use cases
    • Architecture Design: Design scalable and efficient ServiceNow solutions that meet the business needs of clients, which includes setting standards for code and architecture
    • Innovation: Keep up with ServiceNow updates and new features to integrate innovative solutions into the practice
  • Team Building and Leadership: Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers and consultants; and ensure that the team is trained and certified in necessary skills and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Quality Assurance and Best Practices:  Implement standards and best practices for ServiceNow development and deployment and Oversee the quality of deliverables through code reviews, performance tuning, and ensuring adherence to service level agreements
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior stakeholders, understand their strategic goals, and translate them into actionable ServiceNow solutions, which includes regular communication to manage expectations and report on progress
  • Sales and Marketing Support: Assist in pre-sales activities such as demonstrations, presentations, proposal writing, and define service scopes, which plays a critical role in winning new business by showcasing the technical capabilities of the practice
  • Project Oversight and Governance: Manage large-scale ServiceNow implementations and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client requirements, which includes establishing governance around the methodologies used in projects to ensure consistency and high standards across all engagements
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, understand their evolving needs, and ensure the consulting practice delivers continuous value
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve internal processes, service offerings, and client delivery mechanisms based on feedback and performance outcomes

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to pass, and maintain, a federal background check and drug screen successfully
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in information technology
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow and 2+ years as a ServiceNow architect

  • ServiceNow Master Architect certification
  • ITIL v4 certifications
