Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is working with a trusted government contractor in the DC Metro Area searching for an API Developer on a Contract basis!  This role would be for a Government Project but would be remote, working in the US.

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance, reusable, and reliable APIs.
• Collaborate with other software developers and business analysts to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Integrate APIs with existing data and software systems.
• Optimize APIs for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Test APIs to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs using web frameworks.
• Integrate APIs with databases.
• Develop and maintain API documentation and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and debug API issues.
• Monitor API performance and optimize as needed.

 
Candidate should have the following experience:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred, but not required
• Experience developing APIs for financial systems preferred
• Experience developing APIs for Federal government end-clients
• Ability to get a Public Trust security clearance
• 2+ years of experience developing APIs overall
