Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Specialist. This role will be responsible for ensuring payroll tax compliance, accurate tax calculations, and supporting new state registrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and experience in payroll tax liability reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Calculate payroll taxes and ensure accurate deductions and reporting.
Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and resolve discrepancies.
Manage new state tax registrations and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Support quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, including W-2s, 941s, and other regulatory requirements.
Stay up to date with changes in payroll tax laws and implement necessary updates.
Collaborate with payroll, accounting, and HR teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Respond to payroll tax-related inquiries from internal teams and government agencies.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in payroll tax focused experience.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
