Accountant

Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant. The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the organization’s financial operations, including month-end reconciliations, payroll processing, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position is essential to maintaining accurate financial records that support our mission and operations.

Key Responsibilities
           Perform month-end bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
           Assist with processing payroll and maintaining payroll records using ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
           Manage accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and tracking outstanding liabilities.
           Oversee accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, monitoring payments, and reconciling donor or grant income.
           Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks (experience preferred).
           Collaborate with the team to support annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
           Assist with financial reporting, budget tracking, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications
           Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
           Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
           Proficiency with QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now (or similar payroll systems) is a plus.
           Strong knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices.
           Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
           Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
