Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant. The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the organization’s financial operations, including month-end reconciliations, payroll processing, and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position is essential to maintaining accurate financial records that support our mission and operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform month-end bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with processing payroll and maintaining payroll records using ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
• Manage accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and tracking outstanding liabilities.
• Oversee accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, monitoring payments, and reconciling donor or grant income.
• Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks (experience preferred).
• Collaborate with the team to support annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with financial reporting, budget tracking, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now (or similar payroll systems) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
