The overview of the company and position

•   ~$40M in 2023 Projected to do $72M this year-growing very rapidly winning contracts – They are in the defense, aerospace and engineering arenas.

•   These report into a Lead Program Control analyst. 

•   Person must be US citizen. 

•   Must have strong Gov con, PCA, EAC/ETC, billing, budgeting, background.

•   They use Microsoft Navision for software-not a requirement.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking 2 Program Finance Analysts II. The analysts will be heavily involved in the company’s financial forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. They will provide strategic support to Program Managers including helping with Monthly Operating Reviews, preparing Estimates at Completions (EACs), assisting new business opportunities, and other projects as requested by senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Act as the liaison between Program Management and the Accounting Department to ensure alignment within the organization

•   Work closely with Program Managers to prepare Estimate at Completions (EACs) and support forecasting and budgeting activities

•   Provides financial data inputs and analysis for various business management reviews as needed

•   Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators

•   Prepare or aid in monthly financial submissions related to programs including but not limited to monthly revenue recognition, billings, external financial reports, and any other monthly reporting as required

•   Support setup and closeout actions related to program finance

•   Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances

•   Assist in development of Program budgets, forecasts, and modeling tools

•   Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial information to management for decision making purposes

•   Support senior management team with in-depth analysis

•   Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives 

•   Supports ad-hoc reporting and analysis, special projects and internal/external audits as required.

•   Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field

•   Minimum of three years of program finance or FP&A experience (government program finance strongly preferred)

•   Earned Value Management experience

•   Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting technical skills

•   Prior DoD contractor experience preferred

•   Must possess a strong background working with various contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time & Material (T&M), etc.

•   Ability to work in a high energy, high volume, rapidly changing environment

•   Strong attention to detail and sense of personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work 

•   Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills 

•   Experienced in making timely, informed decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints, and risks with adherence to policies, rules, and organizational directives to solve emerging problems

•   High level of discretion while processing and handling confidential information 

•   Superior degree of organization and able to multitask

•   Skillful at effectively working with different levels of management, team members, and customers

•   Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

•   Proficiency in Excel, overall MS Office suite and relevant software applications preferred

•   Experience with an ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics Nav or Business Central a plus 

•   Experience with Power BI a plus

•   U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
