Accounting Manager
Herndon, VAWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager for our non-profit client. This role will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, overseeing financial reporting, ensuring accurate accounts payable operations, and providing support during audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with experience using Sage Intacct and Bill.com.

- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial information is accurate and timely.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the accounts’ payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary audit support to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial operations and improve process efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting principles.
- Assist with the implementation and optimization of accounting software, including Sage Intacct and Bill.com.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Bill.com is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
