Cordia Resources is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on property management. The Property Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial records, and supporting overall financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to property transactions.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual property budgets.
- Collaborate with property management teams to gather relevant information for budgeting and forecasting.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process property-related invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
Tenant and Lease Accounting:
- Maintain tenant ledgers and ensure accurate billing.
- Collaborate with property managers to address tenant financial inquiries.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about accounting standards and regulations related to property management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Property Accountant in the real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of property accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
