Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data analysis for primary revenue drivers (Membership, Events/Partnering, and Business Solutions).
• Review and enhance our technology stack, developing business cases for impactful improvements.
• Implement and manage data quality and governance best practices to ensure data integrity.
• Develop and execute a strategic vision for analytics and business intelligence aligned with growth objectives.
• Optimize analytics platforms and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SQL.
• Provide support and training to enhance team members' data analytics skills.
• Translate complex data findings into actionable business insights.
• Leverage internal and external datasets to identify growth opportunities and forecast demand.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and automation within our technology stack, including Salesforce.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, processes, and reporting requirements.

Required Background and Skills:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics, IT delivery, and SDLC.
• 5+ years of experience in technical/solution IT architecture and data management.
• Proven track record leading medium to large-scale data projects.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, SOQL, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Java).
• Proficiency in data warehousing, advanced analytics, and reporting.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud computing platforms.
• Knowledge of machine learning, AI concepts, and their business applications.

Data Management and Governance:

• Strong understanding of data quality management and governance best practices.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices.
• Expertise in designing and implementing data lakes (e.g., Snowflake).

Methodologies and Practices:

• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Proficiency in developing strategic roadmaps and managing competing stakeholder needs.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD practices.

Soft Skills and Leadership:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Ability to influence and drive change across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in leadership roles, mentoring teams, and fostering a data-driven culture.

Industry Knowledge:

• Broad knowledge of current technology trends and designs in data analytics.
• Familiarity with the biotechnology or life sciences industry preferred.
