Our Construction & Development client is looking for a Controller! This is a direct hire/full-time position! The Controller is responsible for working closely with the Executive Leadership Team to execute financial strategy while leading the accounting team and financial operations of a fast-growing national company. The Controller will lead a team and prepare financial statements for (6+) entities. This will include managing WIP and related job costs, supporting the budget process, and oversight of A/P, A/R, and payroll functions.
Controller Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience (including 5+ years of supervisory experience), preferably in construction and development and/or public accounting.
A minimum of a BS/BA in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration; CPA desirable.
Must be proficient in multiple finance technology platforms and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills.
Experience using construction industry standard accounting systems (i.e. Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation or JDE).
Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
